Dress: Gift — Tights: Target — Shoes: Goodwill (Target) — Necklace and earrings: Gift — Headband: Vendor at Fanime
Still sick, still stuck at home! I am feeling somewhat better, at least, and will probably be accompanying Tia to a bridal-gown-trying-on-fest later on today, so at least that’s progress. (Do they allow real cameras in bridal shops? We shall see!)
Meanwhile, this is what I wore to work last Wednesday, which was also the day of our department’s holiday party, which I had the fun of planning. I mostly took a backseat to the two other, more party-planning-experienced ladies in the group, and everything turned out pretty well!
I wondered whether I would feel a little overdressed in this outfit, but said eff it and wore it anyway. Overdressing is half the fun! Plus, I haven’t worn this wrap dress in donkey’s years–I think not since we went and saw Spring Awakening in San Francisco for my 20th birthday.
It feels a little formal for everyday wear, but it’s quite comfy (once I safety-pin the front so that the wrap doesn’t slide open) and with the sleeves and the pattern and all, it’s a little bit different than a lot of what I ordinarily wear, so I think I’ll try to work it into my wardrobe more than once every three years from now on.

Lovely wrap dress! I mean, I am biased and love wrap dresses more than any other garment, but that also means that I have an eye for great ones, and this is one of ‘em
You look fantastic
And yay for dress shopping! Here’s hoping you feel much better very soon!
Oooh, I thought this dress looked vaguely familiar, but I totally couldn’t place it. That was one of the most excellent birthday extravaganzas, m’dear. I’m glad you invited me along.
Also, that headband is too cute. Which I’ve said before. But it is cute.
There’s no such thing as overdressed! Okay, maybe there is… but I don’t think this is overdressed at all. This dress can definitely go casual
