Hello! How are you? Has it been a good Tuesday so far? Did you have yesterday off? Did you do anything special with it?

Mike and I had vague plans to drive down to Monterey to go to the aquarium, but then I spoiled things by sleeping in until 11:00. I’m not sorry. (Please tell me I’m not the only person who still does this past teenagehood? I get up at around 7:15 on weekdays for work, but I don’t think I’ll ever naturally be an early riser.)

I also worked a little bit on writing! If I continue at my current pace, I may actually have a book written…sometime in the next five years? But I’ve been feeling inspired lately, so we’ll see if I can’t start cranking out more than a couple hundred words a week.

I also made an important-to-me decision about something, and I’m waffling between waiting until it’s actually happened to tell y’all about it or to just get it over with. (The original phrase that jumped to mind was “blow my wad,” but that’s a little indelicate, and we all know I am the couthest of couth.) It might be to my advantage to wait, since that way if I chicken out you guys will be none the wiser. Then again, I’m soooo changeable! So we’ll see.

Have you got any secret plans right now? Come on, whisper in my ear. I won’t tell.

  1. Yellow and blue: new favorite color combination! Loving those earrings, especially since I can’t decide whether they’re meant to evoke rainbows or South American folk art. Maybe both!

Best of luck with seeecret plans. My plans are not secret or terribly important, but they are full of waffling (“shall I chop off all my hair for summer?”) nonetheless. I am an expert waffler.

The earrings were purportedly made in Kenya, actually! Although, really, the vendor guy from whom I bought them could have been feeding me a line, so who knows.

I, for one, vote that you definitely SHOULD chop off all your hair, but I am a notorious egger-onner when it comes to haircuts.

  2. I love this vest and want one just like it, but I think I told you that already. And… I’m 20 minutes into half a melatonin right now so I’m barely coherent. I really love how you accessorized this outfit. All the colors look amazing together– even your glasses and I think especially your hair!

It’s been a really windy Tuesday so far. Hoping that it won’t be an especially rainy Wednesday. I have been known to sleep well past 11am, and I am older than you. I would wake up at noon if I could. I prefer to work through the night because then people don’t bother you all the time 🙂

  3. I have a circadian rhythm disorder, so 11am is not late for me! If left to follow my natural sleep cycle, I’m awake until about 3:30-4am and will sleep until 12:30pm. Like clockwork. I’m working with my doctor right now to adjust it, but I’m realistic in keeping my expectations low. I’d just be happy to push it back to 9:30am! That’s super early!

No secret plans at the moment, but when I make them, you’ll be the first to know.
