Borrowing this picture from Tia’s earlier post to account for my 26th outfit–and our last Team Outfit Pictures before she and Braden flew home. And a fun evening it was, as she already told you! Except that it was tri-tip we had for dinner, not pork. Still delicious, though. And cribbage is one of my most favoritest card games! Well, actually, the only card game I really like, mostly because it’s the only one I can ever remember the rules to. I found out that night that I’ve become woefully inept at counting the points in any given hand, though, mostly because I keep forgetting how much runs and such are worth. I can count the fifteens, though!

And thennnnn we have my outfit from Tuesday, first day back to work after the holiday weekend. Le sigh. Though, actually, this will be a short week for me as well–an unexpected summer cold knocked me on my ass over the weekend, and I made the executive decision to take today off to make sure I’m completely over it before heading back into the office. So, sadly, no buzz cut or funsies were had on Saturday or Sunday, just large amounts of juice-drinking and some power-reading to try and get me back on my feet. (I did blaze through Robin McKinley’s Beauty and Vicky Alvear Shecter’s Cleopatra’s Moon, so we’ll see if I can gear myself up to write some thinky thoughts about one or the other.)
Since it’s June now, I’m technically all finished with this here 30 for 30! And the crowd goes wild! Wooooooo. But I’ve got about another week’s worth of pictures to post, so we’ll get to relive the end of May…together. Plus a super-radical recap that’s fun for the whole family. (Okay, that’s a lie, it will probably be fun for a very small portion of the family, but still. That part of the family will LOVE IT.)
Spoiler alert: I never did end up wearing this tank top on its own like I meant to…but I do still have the rest of the summer to manage that. And I confess, it will be nice to have the rest of my wardrobe back.
At least I got to experiment with fun new jewelry during May! Like this absolutely phenomenal mushroom pendant that the ever-thoughtful Katie sent me with all that other awesome stuff a while ago. I especially love it because it reminds me of Chocorooms, the magical Meiji cracker-chocolate combination that never fails to delight me. That may also mean that I occasionally attempt to eat the decidedly inedible pendant, however, but them’s the breaks.
