Looking at these pictures from last week makes me laugh today; we had actually started straying into cooler weather for a little bit there. I mean, look! Tights! Which are actually kind of a lie in this picture. I tore a hole in them about halfway through the day with my boot zipper, but managed to somewhat-masterfully conceal the hole with my posing at the end of the day. Now I have to figure out whether I can salvage them or if they’re done for.
I won’t be wearing them this week, anyway–it’s going to be 90 today, with temperatures climbing even a bit higher tomorrow. We won’t be seeing this skirt with its cute lace for a while again, more’s the pity.
Who wants to bet that all the kids are going to be trick-or-treating in their bathing suits two weeks from now?
Then again, maybe the weather will change and I’ll be back in boots by next Monday. California’s keeping us on our toes, as usual.
Speaking of geography, I got together on a chat with some friends Monday night; we’re going to be starting up an RPG with rotating GMs, and we had some preliminary planning to do before we could get going. Here you see the partially-finished map we were collaboratively creating (drawn very ably by Brian while we chatted)–it’s got steppes, tundra, swamp, and all sorts of crap that should make for good gaming. Just, you know, in case you’re wondering what I do in my spare time besides stare at myself in the mirror.
Reading in Skirts 
WHY must you thrift the most adorable things? I am desperately in love with this skirt, to the point I NEED to buy one like it, but you have to go and find it in a Goodwill or somewhere.
I hereby declare that you must wear burlap to absolve yourself of this heinous crime.
Holy crap that skirt and those earrings. Those earrings are the longest most fabulous things.
I am really resistant to throwing tights away and would probably keep them since you can hide the hole with the boots anyway. I only throw tights away when there’s a hole in the thigh because oh god the discomfort.
Why don’t I have any lacy skirts? I would kill somebody for a vintage petticoat. Oh, did I write that on the Internetz?….
