Dress: eBay (Anthropologie) — Cardigan: Nordstrom Rack — Belt: Macy’s — Tights: Target — Boots: Thrifted — Necklace, bracelet, and earrings: Hand-me-down

That’s right, y’all, you haven’t seen the last of my sundresses! I only have a handful of dresses made specifically for colder weather, so, as usual, I plan on layering up my lighter dresses and forging on ahead.

It was particularly easy with this dress, since the fabric has a good weight to it and isn’t inclined to go anywhere even when the wind’s a-blowing. When it gets truly cold around here (we’ve mostly been in the mid-sixties this week), I’ll have to make up for the low neckline by swaddling my neck in a warm scarf.

Mostly I’ll probably go the cardigan-and-tights route like I did here, although on warmer days I might mix it up with a button-front and tights instead like here.

How else would you style this springy dress for winter months?

I can see a green cardigan in its future, and I’ve got a few sweaters I could pull over the top, although it would be a shame to cover up the purple wisteria pattern entirely…

(On a side note, have I mentioned that these little earrings were made from my mom’s baby bracelet? I’m not normally that interested in baby-related stuff, but they make me smile every time I wear them.)

  1. Ohh this is a great sundress styling for fall! I always feel that my sundresses have too many markers of summer to wear them with tights, but maybe if I could find a few wintry colors… but my clothes are still shut up in my closed building… gah!

  2. I’m trying to winterize my summery dresses too, although my attempts suck compared to yours. The burgundy looks so good with the purple and green πŸ™‚
