Dress: Gift — Button-front: Gift from Gracey! — Tights: Goodwill (Target) — Flats: Thrifted (Born) — Necklace: Goodwill
Sometimes, when I’m feeling really down about life, something comes along that cheers me up so much that I can hardly remember what I was upset about in the first place. (No, I’m not talking about the cat ears you can see at the bottom of the picture. You win this time, Flat Tire!)
This time, it was an unassuming little package sent from Gracey, and when I blearily unwrapped it at 3:30am after Mike and I finally got home after our error-ridden flight back from Chicago, I was in no way prepared for the glory that awaited me.
There was a hint of garish orange and pink foliage. The point of a gigantic, 60s-style collar. The sheen of 100% nylon. And, most importantly, brown and black spots peeking out. Is that…?
Yes it is, friends. An amazing, utterly bizarre giraffe-patterned button-front, slippery as a pajama top but almost Brady-Bunchian in its styling. Where will we go from here, this giraffe shirt and I? I don’t know, but I’m excited to find out.
(Thank you, Gracey.)
(P.S. It was Tia’s birthday over the weekend–happy birthday, Tia! I hope the next year treats you ever-better, and that much love comes to you in the form of food, friends, family, and good vibrations.)
