Dress: Made by Tia’s mom! — Cardian: Goodwill — Tights: Target — Shoes: Swapped (Naturalizer) — Hat: Made by Leah! — Necklace: Thrifted — Earrings: Gift — Brooch: Made by me!
What WHAT. Heck yeah I’m posting on Christmas! And what a glorious Christmas it is. Mike and I (and Flat Tire) are hanging around the house watchin’ the tee-vee, and later we’re going to go to his dad’s house.
But enough about today, I want to talk about Friday night. I drove out to the Bay Area after my last day of work and had a book club party with my book club buddies! We had delicious food (lentil soup, pasta, cheeses, and a goofy-but-tasty mango sabayon tart I made), and we chatted about life, and did a present swap (I got a funny book and a little notebook wrapped in EDWARD GOREY CHRISTMAS PAPER, if you can believe that), and Leah showed us some gorgeous pictures from her field work in Laos, and we sang carols, and all in all it was disgustingly fun.
So, y’know, I got a little chintzed up, as I like to do. If you cast your minds all the way back to May, you might remember that Tia’s mom made this dress for me to wear in Tia’s wedding! Actually, did Tia ever post any pictures from that? I can’t remember.
Aaaaaanyway, I paired it with my version of the book club pins I gave to everybody last year…
Plus, oh, you know, the hat that Leah made for me. No big deal or anything, just an amazing hat. I should really just be wearing it every day, because it’s phenomenal.
So, anyway! How are your holiday festivities/normal Tuesday commencing?
