Top and skirt: Goodwill — Flats: 6pm.com (Frye) — Bracelet and necklace: thrifted — Earrings: Hand-me-down

Oh man, you guys. I went thrifting earlier this month (first time in a while) and when I saw this skirt I think my eyes popped out of my head.

It’s basically my ideal floral! The flowers aren’t too realistic or too abstract; the greens, pinks, and reds are beautifully saturated; and it’s all on a nice, neutral background that still feels fresh and bright.

Plus, you know, it’s all floofy and has a really nice weight. If it hadn’t fit me, I would have bought it anyway to give to someone else.

Anyway, I took the rest of my outfit notes from Zolani Mahola because she’s a cutie who knows how to dress. (Yes, I may have been listening to a lot of Freshlyground recently! Ain’t no thang.)

Plus a hint of delft-y earrings to go with my already-starting-to-chip blue nails. I don’t know how anybody keeps their nails looking nice for more than three days–you guys got any secrets?

  1. Ohhhh my goddess that skirt IS amazing! And you’ve styled it so brilliantly… I love all the springy colors! I’m terrible with nails. I’ve gotten a gel manicure a few times, and that shit does NOT chip. But it also is a pain in the ass to take off. Worth it??

  2. You look so bright and cheery!

I gave glittery nail polish a go this week— I’m not a glitter-lover, but the texture hid my imperfect strokes, which was a pleasant surprise. But in general, I’m a buff-and-go kind o’ gal. Largely BECAUSE I don’t like having chipped polish, and it always chips so soon. Why fight it?

Gorgeous outfit, I agree with you about the skirt – not to mention those fabulous, fabulous tucks! Quite stunning, you look wonderful. Wish I had a solution for the nails, too.
