Cardigan and skirt: Goodwill — Boots: Woman Within — Camisole: Gap Outlet — Earring: Gift from Jessica — Bracelet: Gift — Necklace: DIY

The weather has been a bit wibbly-wobbly this week and sunk back down to the overcast 70s. I feel like I’ve already completely forgotten how to dress for less than 85, especially since I suck at layering effectively, but I pulled this outfit together and it was actually pretty perfect! I spent the cold morning in my cold office sporting this ever-so-preppy cardigan, and then after work when things were warm and sunny again…

…I whipped it off to hang out and be comfy in a polka-dot camisole!

Not gonna lie, this iteration of the outfit made me feel a little like Anjelica Huston. (I said a little. Don’t ruin the fantasy, okay?)

I’ve been tired this week, so it doesn’t seem like I’ve been getting a lot done. Making dinner and eating it pretty much feel like a triumph of adulthood right now, especially if I can eke out some lunch for the next day. All other ambitions (necklace-making, cleaning the kitchen, putting away more books) have fallen by the wayside in favor of slumping on the couch and reading Cold Magic. I’m trying not to beat myself up about it too much, though.

Yesterday, in Jessica’s honor, I pulled out the single allosaurus earring that’s left from the pair she gave me. I’m still a little sad that I lost its mate, but it doesn’t do too badly as an asymmetrical thing. Hmm, maybe she’s been possessing me and that’s why I want to sleep so much.

How have y’all been doing? Have you been productive lately, or not so much? Are you tired too? Can we all just take a week-long nap together to recharge?

Holy moly, I love that picture of Angelica Houston (it’s on my Pinterest, too). It just… yeah. Slays me. Your sweater is super cute, and the outfit works really well. As far as tired goes… I don’t remember a time when I haven’t been exhausted at the end of the day, honestly. Not a lot gets accomplished at my house during the week, and then weekends are a manic frenzy of catching up on laundry, dishes, cooking ahead (ha! like that ever happens) and whatnot. I’d tell you it gets better but I’m quite a bit older than you and I’m still waiting. So. THAT was uplifting, huh?

When I get too tired to function, I give myself a pass on some of the more monotonous chores. We eat leftovers, watch cartoons, and go to sleep early. Then on the weekends I can be more productive/try to prep for the next week.
