Tee: Gap Outlet — Skirt: Goodwill (Target) — Flats: Thrifted (Born) — Earrings: World Market — Bracelet: Gift

These outfit photos are actually missing something–I was also wearing my unicorn pendant for most of the day. Unfortunately, the chain broke while I was at the grocery store, so I stuffed it hastily into my purse and forgot all about it. It seems like an easy fix, though, so thank goodness for that.

On a more important note–what is up with this little guy in the toile pattern on my skirt? Is he some sort of human/star-nosed mole/catfish hybrid? Or is it a creepy racist caricature?

There’s some weird shit going on in this tableau and I demand ANSWERS. Ain’t no skirt gonna pull a fast one on me, no sir.

  1. I don’t have any answers for you on the why and what of the skirt (most likely racist caricatures… Isn’t this print very old? Y’know when that stuff was the norm?) but I really like the skirt and how you paired it with the striped top.

Toile originated in like the 18th? century, but this skirt was from Target, so they really have no excuses if that IS what’s going on. I really have no idea.
