You know, back in high school and through most of college, I never wore jewelry.

I wasn’t at all into fashion back then–being a giant-tee-and-grubby-jeans kind of teenager–but bracelets and rings in particular felt extraordinarily awkward and strange.

Since starting this blog, though, my taste for accessories has grown, and these days not wearing a bracelet or ring makes me feel odd, like I’m forgetting something.

This is possibly because when I do wear rings I’m forever leaving them by the sink in my office building’s bathroom. It’s probably for the best that none of my rings are particularly valuable, hmm?

Do you have any accessories that feel more comfortable on than off?

  1. Man, I love that dress on you. It’s so very, very pretty.

I’m hit and miss with accessories. I usually do earrings but anything more still takes effort on my part. And I don’t like to put effort forth, so, yeah…

  2. I only wear necklaces now, due to the fact that my ears have decided that wearing earrings will make them automatically produce huge pus-filled blisters of nastiness, stainless steel or not. In high school, I wore EVERYTHING (I had 9 pierces in my ears at the time, and evidently they still haven’t forgiven me). Necklaces, rings, earrings…everything. Now, I feel naked without a necklace and weird wearing anything extra.
