Tee: Goodwill — Skirt: Gift — Flats: 6pm.com (Frye) — Socks: Sock Dreams (Sheer Polka Dot Toe Footies in Ivory) — Bracelet: World Market — Earrings: Hand-me-down

This skirt is high-waisted, and I know general fashion advice tends towards tucking tops into high-waisted skirts for a more put-together look, but I actually like the untucked look too.

It’s not quite a drop-waist effect, but I think it works since the skirt is so full.

I’ve developed a thing for seed beads lately, and have ventured into making a bit of seed-bead jewelry of my own. Not this bracelet–I bought it at World Market–but I’ve made a couple ombre necklaces for friends and so far they’ve been well received, which is gratifying.

I’m pretty impressed by people who can make jewelry in a large enough volume to sell it online, not to mention people that can come up with their own jewelry designs instead of just following tutorials like I do.

You rock, jewelry-makers! You rock my little polka-dotted footie half-socks.

  1. LOVE the footie socks! Such a cute addition.

My aunt used to make incredible twisty twirly jewelry and sold it in a boutique. I was always impressed with her designs.
