Dress and cardigan: Thrifted — Boots: Macy’s — OTKs: Sock Dreams (Dreamer Tartan OTK in Charcoal/Natural/Ochre) — Ring: Gift

I got a little lazy with my sock glue on Tuesday and only did dabs at the front and back, so these tartan OTKs were falling down a little by the time I was off work.

Good reminder not to skimp on the glue! The socks stayed around my knees anyway, but still. Sock knowledge for the future.

We haven’t had any real rain yet, but the clouds keep coming and going, so gray-on-gray seemed thematically appropriate.

Plus, the gray in my hair keeps multiplying, so it always matches!

  1. This is one of my favorite outfits of yours lately! I have a complete soft spot for gray…
The top of this dress is also uber flattering on you, and it’s one of those styles that flatters most people. You know, you use sock glue, but I have the problem of my calves being SO big that once I find socks that fit, they just stay up.

  2. I love the socks, but I ultra love the dress/cardigan combo. I’ve never used sock glue, but I also don’t have a ton of issues with my socks staying up. Maybe it’s because I usually stick with ones that hit just under the knee versus OTK.

  3. 1) This outfit is so great on you!

    2) Obviously, your opinion is what matters and I know you don’t need external approval here, but I love your hair color. Every time I see one of your earring-close-up shots, I wish my white hairs would step it up a bit.
