Have I already talked about how gray is basically the most comfortable-looking color?

Well, it is–for me, at least. There’s something about grays that just look so cozy and reassuring.

Texture is important too, obviously–a scratchy pair of gray slacks isn’t gonna feel all that cozy, even to me–but there’s something about wearing gray that makes me feel safe and bundled-up (especially when it’s this big loose cardigan).

Does gray do that for you? What’s your most “comfortable” color? Have I asked this before? Am I repeating myself? Who are you people?

  1. Oh my! Those tights are AWESOME! You do find the most glorious tights, girl! I find gray to be a very comfy, cozy color as well. Especially if the item is a sweater…or fleece…or a scarf. Which reminds me: I’m on a quest for a soft gray scarf. Going hunting at Goodwill! Have a happy weekend!

  2. I think mine is probably black… typical. I second the awesome tights! I need to be on the lookout for cool details in clothing. Sometimes during the winter I get in a major outfit slump!

  3. I’m extremely comfortable in gray. It’s softer looking than black with my complexion and it’s still professional looking. I did a work-wardrobe organization and found that I wear mainly black, grey and brown, though there is an inborn proclivity for rainbow socks.

  4. I feel the best in blue ~ probably because it is one of my favorites.
I don’t know if you have ever mentioned this before, but is it difficult to come up with your different outfits? I don’t worry too much about my outfits ~ if it is clean and matches even remotely, I throw it on and go. Accessories happen sometimes, but generally as an afterthought and when it is subzero outside, I don’t even bother as I don’t want any jewelry permanently frozen to my body :O
I know you have a blog and therefore probably do put more time and effort into what you are wearing for the day, but are there days where you just don’t want to even try? Just curious 🙂
