Pastels! Springy! They make me feel like ice cream or very tasteful wedding decor!

I’m much more comfortable wearing them than I used to be, though, and I actually really like the colors here a lot.

Maybe because in my mind they read as “dusty” rather than “pastel”?

It’s a weird place, my mind. Right now it wants to go home and bake banana bread.

  1. Seconding seafoam.

Notice that the colors have a very similar depth/ intensity/I-have-no-idea-how-color-works to your skin, so you look harmonious from head to toe. The “dust” in the colors makes them look at home with the ash-tones in your hair, and your shoes bookend the whole story by appearing to match your hair. If you were wearing black shoes, they’d stick out much more and we’d look at your feet before your face more because they’d be darker than anything about you or your outfit and and very dark next to your pale feet and legs. But if you’d worn pastel shoes, your hair and glasses would be the only dark element and might look as if they came out of nowhere. If that makes sense….

In short, ice cream suits you.

I’m a muted person with quiet, low-contrast coloring, so I’m all about dusty colors. In black or brights, I’m completely washed away.
