Shirt: Target — Pants: J.Crew — Shoes: Golden Ponies — Bangle: Thrifted — Earrings: Gift

What am I even doing here? Well, never mind that. These are a pair of the J.Crew pants I mentioned earlier this week–possibly my first-ever pair of side-zip?

They definitely relax a little bit over the course of the day, especially in the knees where there’s minor bagging, but such is life. Entropy is unavoidable.

I was, however, a little disappointed in how weak the inner-leg seams are. It’s a good reminder to thoroughly inspect any clothing you try on before you buy it. I don’t know if one of the seams near the crotch had already popped before the pants came into my life, but if they were completely intact when I bought them, the seam had started to give up the ghost by lunchtime.

It’s not a hard fix, but I’m a little miffed since J.Crew isn’t an inexpensive brand. I shouldn’t be able to see light coming in through the seams of my pants! A bold statement, I know, but I intend to stick by it.

  1. Meep! Yeah, I’ve seen a lot J.Crew come through my thrift store. I don’t really see any better quality than Banana Republic or Gap imo. That said, the capris are cute.

  2. Those pants are a great fit! I understand completely how disappointing it is to spend good money on a piece, only to have a problem crop up the first wearing. And yet my brain fails to remind me to examine things closely before purchasing….which is why most of my clothing purchases tend to be from thrift stores and yard sales. At least then if it blows a seam upon the first wearing, I can take comfort in the fact it cost only a buck or two!
