I have a friend who used to wear a lot of Chaps-branded clothing in high school for whatever reason, and the rest of us liked to come up to him and sing-song, “H. is wearing chaps!” while giggling. Because high-schoolers are nothing if not highbrow. Anyway, I’m wearing chaps, is my point here.

Wearing chaps and throwing toys for Flat Tire. Her favorite toy has consistently been a printer roller that Michael brought home from work; it’s small and light and has bouncy ends, and she can pick it up in her mouth and bring it back for infinite games of fetch.

We have to hide it before we go to bed so she doesn’t make a racket with it all night. Speaking of which, I should go find it…

  1. Surprisingly high school wasn’t all about what you wore for me. My private middle school was though. If it wasn’t Abercrombie or American Eagle, you definitely weren’t cool. I wore white basic non-brand polos and black pants (everyone else wore khakis) and was labeled the “goth kid” because of it.

Now? I embrace my goth kid.

Love flat tire! I wish i could get my lazy ass fatty Spike to play with anything.
