Top: Thrifted (no label) — Pants: Thrifted (Polo Ralph Lauren) — Sandals: 6pm.com (Dansko) — Tank top: Target — Bangle: Thrifted — Earrings: Labor Day Pow-Wow — Bag: Haiku

Bought me a bag from Megan Mae Daily! But more on that later.

I could’ve sworn I’d done a post on an incredibly similar outfit not that long ago, but if I did, it is cleverly evading my detection. (These outfit posts are wily, you know. Don’t turn your back on ’em.)

Anyway, I was happy enough to take pictures of it this time around. I hope these pants hang in there for a long time, because I’m already preemptively sad about the day that they’ll have to be retired.

have worn this earring-and-bracelet combo with these pants before for sure, and even on the blog. Some stuff just works perfectly together, you know?

Okay, with that all out of the way: the bag! Megan Mae had (and still has) some things for sale on her site, and I availed myself of this bag she had up because–well, if you don’t know why it appealed to me, hi, I’m Mia!

Anyhow, it’s a great size and shape. I bought myself a larger black-and-brown purse a while ago because my previous purses had been too small, but it ended up being a little too large to carry around conveniently. This one has tons of little pockets and can also fit my Kindle, so I love it. Also, it looks like a frog.

Dress: eBay (Marimekko) — Shoes: Thrifted (Born) — Belt: Thrifted — Earrings: Angela Grace Jewelry — Footie socks: Sock Dreams (Tabbisocks Heather Footies)

The neckline of this dress makes it difficult in certain situations–it doesn’t really work with necklaces and I have to be really careful not to lean over too far–but it’s fun and interesting enough that I don’t really care.

Who needs necklaces or leaning over, anyhow?

Speaking of difficult: I really like the clean lines and stitching of this belt, but it’s a little too small and it’s time to admit that we should part ways. It’s nobody’s fault; sometimes these things just don’t work out. Anyway, belt, I hope we can stay friends, and maybe get some coffee sometime.

Kurta: Thrifted (Fabindia) — Skirt: Blacklist Vintage (Lilly Sports) — Sandals: Gift (Clarks) — Bangle: Thrifted — Earrings: Target

I forgot (read: was too lazy) to put away my jewelry supplies yesterday, so my photo area is a leetle beet messy.

I took a long break from making lace jewelry, but I’m back, sort of! I need to renew some listings and get back in the game, but first I’m doing up a few items that I’ve owed friends for, um, an embarrassing length of time.

My shop’s been open for eleven months and I’ve made roughly five and a half sales, but hey! I like being creative and learning how to get better at working out designs people will like.

I just wish I had more hours in the day so I could go to work, make jewelry, and also get even one other thing done. Maybe I just have too many hobbies.

Dress: Lana — Scarf: Thrifted — Sandals: 6pm.com (Dansko) — Earrings: Lia Sophia

I took a sick day on Monday thanks to brain problems (which is why I took the day off posting too). Well, brain problems and also lack of sleep. They’re kind of co-morbid for me, doncha know.

Anyway, I didn’t get dressed until I had to go to therapy in the evening, so I wore the outfit again on Tuesday to work. I mean, why not? The therapy session left me feeling a lot better and I felt pretty cute in it.

I am greatly devoted to my therapist, by the way. It took me a little while to find the right one, but we work really well together and most sessions just feel like talking to a friend.

An incredibly smart friend who calls me on my thinking distortions and gives me opposite-action homework, but you know.

Dress: eBay (Maeve) — Sandals: Gift (Clarks) — Belt: Thrifted — Earrings: The Wood Merchant

I had to take these photos before sunset for once because I wore this outfit to brunch and then promptly got back into my weekend duds to clean the kitchen.

It wasn’t fancy brunch or anything, we were just trying out a new diner. Actually, the place is a Chinese-American/classic diner combo; they serve burgers and omelets as well as fried rice and cashew chicken.

It isn’t the only Chinese-American/classic diner joint in town, either, which makes me wonder: is this actually a thing across the US, or are we just lucky?

Either way, they do a pretty good French toast! Good for them.

Shirt and pants: J.Crew — Shoes: Thrifted (Born) — Earrings: Mic Drop Design

It was completely unintentional that I wore these two J.Crew pieces of clothing together, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that it worked! Possibly a little casual for some workplaces, but (fortunately) not for mine, and this week has been such that pants and a t-shirt are about what I can manage.

And the earrings definitely help. See, this is what big, bright jewelry is good for. It makes me look like I know what I’m doing.

Shirt: Target — Skirt: Thrifted (Banana Republic) — Sandals: 6pm.com (Think!) — Earrings: Gift — Bangle: Thrifted

Time to celebrate a new pair of shoes! Internet shopping is tricksy sometimes but this pair worked out.

(The pairs I have to send back, on the other hand, not so much. You have to crack a few sandals to make an omelet, I guess?)

They’re a good choice, I think! And they helped me trick myself to making this outfit, which is otherwise comprised of old pieces.

(Relatively old. It’s not like these earrings were part of the Greatest Generation.)

Anyway, gray and yellow and cute straps and velcro. What will those Germans think of next?
