Button-front: Thrifted (I ❤ Ronson) — Pants and camisole: Old Navy — Sandals: Gift (Clarks) — Earrings: Vendor at Lake Bled, Slovenia — Bracelet: Small Change Finery
I only bought two things in New Orleans: one was the skirt from yesterday, and the other was this elk-antler bracelet.
I had the delightful pleasure of getting to spend time with my friend Lauren while in the city; on some evenings she works a booth selling Small Change Finery pieces at the Frenchmen Art Market in the French Quarter, so one night I alternated between sitting with her at the table and strolling around the market. I really like art markets and there was something exciting and twinkly about a nighttime one, even if it was still 88°F at 12:30am as everyone was packing up to go home. (And even if I did get some horrific bug bites.)
I liked a lot of the stuff that was for sale, but ultimately decided on this bracelet from Lauren’s own table. Actually, I almost bought a really big necklace made of the same sort of antler slices and changed my mind at the last minute. I do already have a bunch of statement necklaces, after all.
Altogether, Lauren is a very pleasant salesperson, and also a ridiculously charming friend. Also, she plays music! You can check some of her work out at her Bandcamp, and also (if you want to make me really happy), you can watch the video I took of her playing a set at the Irish House during our stay:
