Dress: Multiple Threads — Sandals: Dansko — Camisole: Old Navy — Earrings: World Market — Bracelet: Thrifted
With my trip to Austria and Slovenia rapidly approaching, I have the good sense to start getting properly terrified while I scramble around, trying to get ready.
Are any of us ever REALLY ready for international, overseas trips? Well, yes, I’m sure many of us are, but I don’t think readiness for anything is within my wheelhouse.
I took it upon myself to run some errands on Saturday–you know, picking up things I’ll need (toothpaste) and things that make me feel better (new underwear).
Giraffe dress came along to help me feel a little less panicky about the whole thing. Thanks, giraffe dress!
Of course, I forgot some things, so I’ll need to make a second trip before I leave next Thursday morning (!!!). By the way, if anybody has any quality recommendations for the Toronto Airport, we’ve got a layover there for a couple of hours–it’ll be nice to see you again from inside the big windows, Canada!
That dress is so awesome!! Ahh your trip is so close! I had a long layover in Toronto but it was six years ago, and things tend to change a lot at airports. I do vividly remember the tasty maple cream cookie samples they had at the duty-free shop. My brother and I did about a million loops through there and kept eating all of the samples. : )
You’re so cute. ^_^ That giraffe dress is pretty great, and it looks mad comfy. I haven’t been following your blog as closely as I should, but have an awesome time abroad! No, I don’t think anyone is truly ready, but that’s usually because of unforeseen stuff occurring across the pond (like when we went to France and learned that our hotel had no front desk, only a locked side door, the 4-digit code to which we had never been given).
That totally helped your anxiety, I bet.
WOW. I can’t manage an overnight trip without bringing half my room with me. I’m terrible at traveling though. I either bring everything or forget it all.
Dear Mia,
first of all I just wanted to stop by and say that I’ve been reading your blog for some time. I don’t “follow” it because I do not even know what that means exactly, but you’re always an inspiration and a nice touch of reality in a blogging world that sometimes seems something from another dimension.
And then I wanted to add that I would love to help if you have any questions about travelling (I’m not a super pro but I travel occasionally and would love to share some tips) or Europe (that I haven’t left in my life, so I might consider myself a kind of expert 😉 ).
I don’t even know if I’m still on time, maybe you’re already travelling?
Well, never mind, I just thought I’d make the offer.
Greetings!
Sonja
